SUMMER SERIES SHOWS
The SRHA hosts a summer reining show series. This provides an opportunity for members to begin
showing reining horses in a supportive and informal show environment. It also provides a venue for
experienced competitors to school or introduce young horses to showing.
2012 Summer Series Dates
MAY 12TH & 13TH Willowridge Stable, Saskatoon, SK
JUNE 2ND & 3RD Darryl Cartier's, Prince Albert, SK
JULY 28TH & 29TH Willowridge Stable, Saskaton, SK
Willow Ridge Stall fee is $20.00 + GST per night, book with Linda @ 1-306-373-4317, bring your own bedding. Haul in fee is $20.00 + GST per day
2012 Summer Series Rules
-Must be a SRHA member
-Beginner Rider - $0 LTE rider, any horse, 1 or 2 hands any legal bit
-Ranch - $100 LTE both horse & rider, 1 or 2 hands any legal bit
-500 - $500 LTE rider, any horse, 1 handed any legal bit
-1500 - $1500 LTE rider, any horse, 1 handed any legal bit
-Beginner Horse Open - $250 LTE horse, any rider, 1 or 2 hands any legal bit
-Beginner Horse Non Pro - $250 LTE horse, horse owned by rider/family, non pro rider, 1 or 2 hands any legal bit
-Non Pro – a rider who has not received payment to work in any manner in the following activities on the premises of a reining horse training operation where reining horses are shown: training or assisting in training and/or showing a reining horse or teaching a reining horse rider, horse must be owned by rider/family, 1 handed any legal bit
-Open – any rider, any horse, 1 handed any legal bit
Youth 18 & under – rider 18 years of age or younger as of January 1st of current year, horse must be owned by rider/family, 1 handed any legal bit
-Short Stirrup – rider 10 years of age or younger as of January 1st of current year, there will be no penalty for holding the saddle with either hand, the rider may ride with standard reins, or with any type of closed reins and may ride with one or two hands on the reins at any time during the class
-LTE – lifetime earnings earned at any type of reining show/class including Open, SRHA, NRHA but not limited to.

- Pd Warm-ups – 7:30am – 9:00 am
Open Arena Riding – 9:00 am – 10:30 am
Show Starts at 11:00 am (No Lunch Break)

Entry fees – $30.00 per class, Short Stirrup no charge, $5.00 office fee per person per day.
Stall fees - $25.00 per night at Willow Ridge. There is a $20.00 haul in fee for those not keeping their horses at Willow, stalls need to be cleaned out before leaving.
PLEASE NOTE
- Due to an SHF ruling anyone 18 yrs. of age and younger, competing at a SRHA Summer Series Show must wear an approved helmet.
- Modified pattern #5 is the patern for the Beginner Rider/ Ranch reining for the 2011 season.
- NOTE: The Modified Pattern #5 consists of 4 spins in both directions.
