Call for nominations: 2023 Kevin Pole Memorial Sportsmanship Award
Kevin Pole Pole was an important supporter of Reining in Saskatchewan and encouraged and mentored many, as a coach, trainer, and as a respected judge for the SRHA. The Kevin Pole Memorial Sportsmanship Award is sponsored by Tyrel and Rhea Pole is awarded to a person who best displays some of the qualities that Kevin is remembered for.
Any person nominated should meet the following guidelines:
Be an SRHA member in good standing
Demonstrate good sportsmanship and support friendly competition.
Be encouraging and be willing to cheer for all riders.
Maintain a positive attitude regardless of how their run in the show pen goes.
Promote a friendly and welcoming environment at SRHA or other competitions.
May go “above and beyond” in acts which support other competitors or demonstrate exemplary sportsmanship.
Has a genuine love for the horse and passion for reining or other equine sports.
Actively looks for ways to support youth and beginner riders.
Carries on Kevin Pole’s legacy by building community within the equine industry.
